PHASE ONE - PROGRAMMING
A v2i Interior Designer will interview client and take inventory of any existing furniture to be reused (if applicable), measure job site and verify site conditions. We will check codes, develop a project schedule and meet with the Team (Clients, Architect and Contractor) to gain an understanding of Client’s vision, budget, and necessary scope of work to complete the project.
PHASE TWO - SCHEMATIC DESIGN
This phase consists of preparing a plan footprint, a preliminary space plan, furniture/equipment plans and preliminary specifications along with a preliminary suggested budget based on client’s wants and needs. Preliminary materials and finishes selections commence in this phase.
PHASE THREE - DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Designer will continue with plans development, specifications and budgets, presentation “mood” boards with materials and finishes selections based on Client’s direction and goals. Shop drawings must be reviewed by Client.
PHASE FOUR - CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Designer will update and finalize drawings and schedules, prepare specifications for bidding, qualify vendors, and prepare proposals, reserve fabrics and wallcoverings if applicable. The Team obtains approvals and permits to commence work.
PHASE FIVE - PURCHASING
This phase includes the procurement of the furnishings.
PHASE SIX - CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
Designer will observe the construction progress follow-up on orders, coordinate installation of furnishings, and determine if it is translating the Client’s vision into the built environment.
